As you list stock markets as your hobby, can I suggest you go short on London Clubs International using www.cantorindex.co.uk

Bye

Hi Andy,
I can have a look there but I only do and can Scandinavian markets.

i see Utah Jazz in your favourites,2nd best sport in the world! What do you think about MJ coming back?

My reply:
HI Jonno,
for us basketball followers he shouldnt come back since he cant be anymore as big as his career and legend was. But I am sure that the reason for him is that he loves the game and the sport so much that he wants to be involved and playing again even though he cant do all the magic anymore.

According to Championship Manager, the Crystal Palace Coaches recommend you as an excellent Penalty taker, however I do not believe you have ever taken one proffesionally.

Why do you not take penalties? And if you have done - did you score?!

My reply:
Hi Tel,

P.S How did you get into football?

My reply:
Ok Richard,
I havent tell you the big secret that me and him are one and the same person. I needed an extra job since one never knows whats happening with footie. I got into football when I was off in spring and was not sure what was happening with the record industry.

Moro Aki!

P.S Musta on tullu puolessa vuodessa suuri Crystal Palace -fani, suurelta osin, siis täysin, sinusta johtuen.

My reply:
Terve Jamil,
mukava kuulla että olet pitänyt niistä, taas yksi rohkaisu runokirjan valmistumista ajatellen, kiitos. Työ kirjallisella ja palloilulisella alueilla on vasta aluillaan, toivottavasti parhaat teokset ovat vasta tuloillaan. Ja niihin tarvitaan mainitsemiasi eläimellisiä avuja.

Aki,
Babe, how are you? Do you have a nick-name with the lads?
Love ya xx

My reply:
Hi babe,
I am ok, but very dissapointed about our bad results. I have been called with loads of nick-names here. Recently after my short hair cut I have been Vanilla Ice, Dolph Lundgren or Polar bear. The real nick-name is Ägä.

I saw you scored a goal on sunday(or was it saturday).
congratulaitons!
We miss you here in Vålerenga.
Need more players like you you know.
Just wanted to wish you luck over there.
And remember: you're always welcome in oslo!

Adam and Jonathan Hosking (theboys@hoskingn.freeserve.co.), 15/10-2001 16:03
How good did it feel to score that cracker against wimbeldon on saturday? We have had a season ticket for quite a while and that was one of the best goals we've ever seen at selhurst. We sit just on the left of the tunnel as you come out - please could you give us a wave (we come to all the home games) - especially as we BOTH share your birthday, that's right, the ninth of september - we know from reading your web site. Adam is 14, Jonathan is 12.

My reply:
Hello my birthday fellows,
scoring is always an extra feeling, specially when nobody expects blond midfielders to even try from that range. I will give you a wave at our next birthday.

My reply:
Hi Eamonn,
it must be the referee.

Mark (mark@discoveregypt.co.uk), 15/10-2001 11:30
Aki,

You should try your hand at writing poetry. Get some magnetic words from the book shop and get writing on your fridge. You could make it a new feature on your website.

Mark

My reply:
MArk,
why do I need the magnetic words since I have already written the whole fridge with normal pen? Most of the fridge poetry suprisingly involves hunger and food.

Great goal against Wimbledon! 2 Questions: Have you ever scored a better goal than that in a match?

We all think you're a genius...how did you become a genius?

Keep up the good work and score for me against Bradford

Mr Michael (hahamichael@btinternet.com), 21/10-2001 07:45
you have allready scored 5 goals this season for us, that is half the amount dougie and clinton scored each.
Are you going for the top goal scorer for midfeilders ?
Do you think you will score a hat-trick before the end of the season ?

Keep scoring,
Michael
(front row main stand next to the doug out)

My reply:
Dear Mr Michael,
I have no ambtion for scoring, only for winning. If we take the lead in the game, I prefer to stay and dont usually go for goals. I only try to go to scoring range when the situation needs it.

Varmempi on käyttää virolaista "kaitsija" -termiä.

Tervehdys!
Täällä muutama akateemisen maailman palkkatasoon pettynyttä opiskelijaa yrittää epätoivon vimmalla kyhätä kasaan voittoisaa veikkausriviä, joten voimmeko luottaa Palaceen ja sen "näkymättömään" keskikenttämieheen/maalitykkiin Moulineuxilla ja pistää lapulle x2?
Pelikengät kiiltäviksi sillä peli näkyy myös YLE:llä

My reply:
Ponkke,

Hey Aki....

Nice goal on Saturday, what would you say is your most favourite goal you have ever scored?

P.S. Who choses the squad numbers, how comes you are number 15 instead of 19??

cheers Jim

My reply:
Hey Jïmmï,
my favourite goal is usually the next one. I get tricked in the summer and when I came back from holiday it was too late to change into 19 anymore since they had printed the shirts already.

My reply:

A sublime goal, Aki. A true moment of beauty. But was it as sweet as the kiss of a Mauritian maiden? Or as dazzling as a starry night at the Alahambra? Did it fly with the grace of the mighty albatross over the southern seas? Or swerve like a big bendy banana from Brighton?

Who can say? But it certainly made me very happy, Mr Aki.

Thank you.

My reply:
Dear Txomin,
I think it was just bizarre as your question :)

One of the funniest sites I have seen in ages. Excellent. I hope I'll still be laughing after the Wolves game, I am a Wolves fan. So no disrepect but I hope you have a bad day. Anyhow my question, what makes a player difficult to play against, ie, is if they are skillful, they are fast, they are dirty.. or all 3

My reply:
Hi SK,
I hope you are still laughing. I am not laughing if I have to play against combination of quick and intelligent player.

Hi,

What do you think of the American players in your squad? Jovan and Gregg?

Do you think we (USA) have a future in football?

I used to play myself before a knee injury forced me to quit.

My reply:
Hi Dean,
I think both of them are good players and good lads. I think soccer will never be in US as big as the traditional main sports baseball, football and basketball but it will definitely grow a lot and US will produce lot of succesful teams and players. I am sorry to hear about Your injury.

My reply:

Aki,

Congratulations on the incredible goal today! I thought it was good that you then watched it on the screen and cheered afterwards, most players think they're too cool to do that. Is that your best goal ever or is there a better one?

p.s. honestly you are more than your mum's favourite

p.p.s. i think i am the only palace fan who pronounces your name properly - Arki Reehilahrrtee is the correct isn't it?

My reply:
Rob,
I actually spend half of every game watching the screen since I dont have telly at home. My mums favourite goal is always the last one. Your pronounciation is not exactly very Finnish.

Ron (ihaveanegg@aol.com), 14/10-2001 10:58
Aki,

What a wonderful site. I have two questions.

1) Why do they have signs on the doors (I know such signs are important to you) on clothes shops saying 'No Dogs - Except Guide Dogs', when a blind person wouldn't be able to see any of the clothes anyway? Is this just another confusing sign on a door.

2) Don't you think Birmingham City are far better than Crystal Palace?

Kind regards,
Ron

My reply:
Ron,
1. He would not be able to see the sign either. How about if the shop sells clothes to guide dogs?
2. No

Aki, Fantastic goal against Wimbledon today, probably one of the best a Palace player has ever scored!
Do you consider it the best goal you have ever scored? If not what one beats it?

My reply:
Dear Maidstoned Eagle,
it might be one of the most beautiful ones, but best ones are the goals that actually earn points.

Pelasin suomessa alinta divisioonaa eli VI Divisoonaa. Onko tietoa koska viimeksi suomen virallisissa sarjoissa on moista voittoa otettu? Onkohan historiallinen nykyaikana tapahtuneeksi. Hienoja otteluita muuten Aki tuolla maaotteluissa. Me jalkapallotietäjät uskomme suomen arvokisapaikkaan lähivuosina. Keep it going!!!!

My reply:

I think you´re a very good midfielder, I´ve seen you play in Norway for Vålerenga (jeg hater vålerenga, jeg er brann fan), and I was very happy when you signed for Palace. But now to the question : What´s the strangest bodypart you have scored with? (I once scored a beautifull long range goal with my knee!).Good luck for the rest of the season!EAGLES!EAGLES!HEIA BRANN!

Dear Aki,

You have reached cult status with Evertonians! We've even sort of forgiven Palace for knocking us out of the Worthington Cup. Anyway, is there a Premiership club you'd like to play for (if you didn't get there with Palace, that is)? Would you consider the mighy blues? Keep up the great website - brilliant stuff.

Dear Tim,
some of my close relatives (cousin, uncle and aunt) are Evertonians but I will play my Premiership with Palace.

Eli mitenkähän sen sanoisi, keep up the good work, jos tällaisia kirjoituksia tulee lisää - Veikkaajaan tahi muualle - niin jossain vaiheessa Sinun kannattaisi harkita jopa niiden julkaisemista. Suomessa julkaistaan verrattomasti huonompaakin tekstiä. Terv. Pasi

My reply:
Kiitos Pasi positiivisesta palautteesta,

(Tietty vanhat pelimiehet olivat tiivisti kontaktissa naispuolisiin faneihinsa :-) )

Voisitko vielä suositella paria hyvää pub-tyyppistä paikkaa Lontoossa, jossa kannattaa pitää koulutusseminaari aiheesta englantilaisen oluen historia?

My reply:
HOmer,
varmaan ne samat vanhat pelimiehet osaisivat vastata tähänkin kysymykseen paremmin.

Hi Aki,

I'm a Canadian living in England currently, and supporting Palace. On behalf of England, thanks for your effort against the Germans!

In Finland, what is the most popular sport? Is ice hockey bigger than soccer? How good a hockey player were you?

Finland beat us in the bronze medal game at the last Olympics - I hope you enjoyed it, because it won't happen this time! :)

Thanks,
Shawn

P.S. I'll introduce you to Shania Twain if you're ever in the country. :)

My reply:
Dear country fellow citizen of Shania Twain,
like the ever so great Shania we like ice hockey, which is huge sport in Finland because we always beat canadians ;) I was never any good player but I enjoyed playing, specially as a keeper. I remember this school game which we won 16-1 and there was only two shots on goal. The other hit the goal, the other my head. Propably one of my better games.

Moi Aki

Olet tosi hieno pelaaja, kova keskikentän puurtaja.

t. Lauri

My reply:
Hei Lauri,
olen todella iloinen kuullesani suhtautumisestasi koulun tärkeyteen. Itselleni koulunkäynti on edelleen tärkeää urheilun rinnalla.

My reply:
Hei Pena,
sekä positiivinen ja negatiivinen urheilusuoritusten perusteltu kritiikki on aina tervetullutta, enkä kummastakaan menetä yöuniani. Brodin kysymykset kaikessa naurettavuudessaan toisaalta ovat kovin vaikeita vastata pokkana.

My reply:

My reply:
Hei Relli,

Terve mieheen Aki!
Tosi huippua kun jaksat ylläpitää näitä sivuja kaiken kiireen (?) ohessa, onkin muuten vallan mainiota ja viihdyttävää seurattavaa! Hyvin hoidettu!

Terveisin, Tytti

PS. Sain muuten jo kutsun perinteisiin puurojuhliisi…

My reply:
Terve Tytti,
en pysty Jussin puolesta vastaamaan, mutta yleisesti ottaen on mukava tavata suomalaiskatsojia ja vaihtaa kuulumisia härmän kielellä. Eikä siinä mitään häviä, jos menee rohkeasti esim. jonkun pelin yhteydessä juttelemaan.

Hi Aki

Thanks to everyone for another good win on Tuesday.

Having read your recommend/don't recommend (new iron/wrinkled shirts) the other day I then came across Pablo Neruda's "An Ode for Ironing" when I was browsing the net. I expect you know it (?):
"Poetry is white:
It comes dripping out of the water..."

Coincidence eh?

What turned you on to his poetry, and are there any other poets you admire?

Here's to another 3 points on Saturday. Hope you get another goal, but please brush up on your dancing technique;)

Love Julia

My reply:
Dear Julia,
I am aware of the work of Neruda, he is like my dancing technique: colorful, honest and sharp at the same time. It is not a coincidence that besides him I cant pick any other poet above the others.

No kokkolan pojat taas terve.
Kyllä me jännättiin ja huudettiin. Mitäs mieltä muuten olet kokkolan kasvatista Juha the Reiska Reinistä, joka me muuten tunnetaan HYVIN. Entä muut kokkolanpojat Koppinen, Hakala(Silkeborg IF), Uusimäki(Häcken IF), Peltola(Bodo/Glimt), Myntti(Tromssa)? Taitaa Kokkola olla Suomen jalkapalloilun mekka!?! Tsemiä ja hyvää jatkoa kaudelle Palacessa!!!

My reply:

Quick question Aki, who are the best 1st Division team you have played against this season, and can you explain your joke about the bank & the Prime Minster; I'm afraid I didnt understand it.

Here's a gag for you. I hear that they have opened a restaurant on Centre Court at Wimbledon. The food is awful but the service is terrific.....

My reply:
Hei Sami,

My reply:

PS: U should come down and watch our Sunday league team play. We've got this striker who's only 21 but he is a different class! (I don't know why he ain't pro at the moment). He's scored 10 in the 1st 3 games of the season. Palace could do with him!!!

I am 8 years old and every Saturday I shout "Aki" at you from the front of the Arthur Wait stand because I want your autograph. Please come and sign my book next Saturday. I love your web-site and hope you play for Palace for a long time. My friend Theo was a Chelsea supporter but he came to Palace v Barnsley and saw you score that goal and now he supports Palace for ever. This week I recommend that you score again on Saturday.
Love from Ben Browett (I am a midfield motor too). My question is : how old were you when you saw your first football match? Who was playing? Do you remember the score?

My reply:
Dear Ben,
I am truly sorry, I would love to sign Your book, but I am always so concentrated before the games I dont hear anything. I was six years old when I saw Brazil-Italy on telly. I supported Brazil but Italy won 3-2, so I decided to have revenge and started to play myself.

Cat Porecha (CathPorecha@aol.com), 27/09-2001 15:01
Hey Aki,

Fantastic site. And an argument against all those who think footballers have trouble constructing sentences with words of more than one syllable!

I've only just discovered the site and wish I'd found it ages ago, it could have brightened up many a dull day!

Hope you've now finished evaluating your life and realised 25 isn't a bad age to be; I was 26 a few months ago and that really made me think! Something along the lines of "oh my God, I'm 26, single, still living with my parents and still incapable of getting rid of spiders in the bath" I think were my immediate birthday thoughts!

So just wait until next year - when you realise you're nearer 30 than 20 you'll really feel old!!

I'm a little worried by the extortionate price for your haircut too. What did they do with the bits they cut off? Frame them and give them back as a souvenir? Or perhaps the blonde is really gold plating? If you want to try a decent one, local to the training ground, then try 'Nuthatch' in Beckenham High Street - he charges a little less than the one who fleeced you and he's a Palace fan!

Also, as you appear to frequent the Beckenham area and recommend several Italian/Pasta restaurants I'll recommend one for you to try - 'Ask' at the top of the High Street in Bromley Road (personally I only go there 'cos I love the sofas in the bar but the food's pretty good too!) Give it a try a let me know what you think.

Keep up the good work, on and off the pitch - even when we're losing watching you play still gives me something to smile about!

Take Care
Cat
xxx

ps - If you go to the hairdresser I'm sure Palace fans all across the country would be grateful if you could take Craig Harrison with you.

My reply:
Hey Cat,
my old man used to say that getting older is the only way to live long. However I have always been puzzled about hair matters because my old man could not give me any advice since he is almost bald. I try to keep on going but what is a "one syllable"?

Secondly, Who is your Best Mate at Palace?
Lastly, What was that dance all about after that sensational goal against Barnsley?

Thanks for coming to Palace AKI - We REALLy appreciate your work, commitment, and skills!!

"Hyvä Riihilahti", "Mainiota Riihilahti", "Hienoa Riihilahti" yms...

My reply:

My reply:
Loistavaa semi86,

koti-Suomessa!Voit odottaa minulta postia taas kymmenen vuoden päästä,sillä minulla on vakaa aikomus sitten haastaa sinut vakavamieliseen
golfturnaukseen.Siihen asti Mo ikke tildekkes,
Krista :)

My reply:
Jou porkkana golfammattilainen,

Hey Aki

I have watched palace for a long time and i'm only 17, u r the best player i have seen here atleast since our financial trouble, if u know anyone as good as u or nearly as good as u please persuade them to join palace aswell

My reply:
Thanks John,
I appreciate your kind words, I will do my best to keep it going. I am not yet in charge of player transfers but I will give tips if asked.

Hi Aki! Brilliant goal against the barnsley yesterday, being a palace fan myself and you being my favourite player at the club, you inspired me to score two goals for my sunday league team Marle Place Wanderers, i wear the same no.15 as you and was wondering whether you had any pre-match rituals which i could adopt for my games? keep up the good work at palace, hopefully you can inspire the team to get promoted to the premiership. from Bally. Kiitos ja tsemiä tuleviin matseihin!

My reply:
Terve Sampsa,

Toivottavasti 2004 pelataan EM-kisoissa.

Aki,
Your a star at Palace, I can only think what could of happened if Smith had played you earlier last season. Were you injured or just not ready. Do you ever read the BBS? Its a great site, and most people on there are great fans of you. It was nice to see your determination against Sheffield Utd on Tuesday, was a great night out. How about a pre-season tour of Cumbria, so you can come up and see me and my family, the few Palace fans up here.

Steve

My reply:
Well Steve,
I signed in March, so lot of things could have happened if I had played before I was even here. I follow different Crystal Palace sites every now and then and I am pleased about the reception I have got here in England. Cumbria -tour is already booked.

My reply:
Kiitos Pirkko,
puhun aina kännykkään, olen vastaantulija ja kävelen suu auki Keskuskatua, mutta pysäytän mielelläni kaikki nämä suosikkiharrastukseni kirjoittaakseni sinulle nimmarin. Nähdään siis Keskuskadulla.

Keep up the excellent playing. :-)

(Fantastic goal today against Barnsley, but we're fannying around too much around when we attack).

My reply:
Hi Al,
I think we all are, crasiness is healthy and fun. Book was about footballs social and psycological side based on true story of HJK in the Champions League. It was published by the biggest company and it got good attention and critics, could have sold more though. Croydon ladies have been safe since we have been playing every second day. When I wrote the piece, I said that you where a funny player, however I meant funny in the sense that the stuff you write is funny.

I was not trying to infer that you are in anyway a bad footballer. Because you are not.

As far as I am concerned, you can come and play for Ajax anytime.

Hello Aki!
Onkos jo Miklun korvaaja löytyny joukkueeseen..?
Visainen kysymys: Kumpi on pahempi paikka sun mielestä rankkarissa ala vai ylä"mummo"..?

My reply:
Hei Lauri,
Olen itse suosinut idolini Joey Tribianin italiasaksentista How you doin´?

Hi.

I`m not sure which shirt nr. you have now in Palace but of course I remember you had nr 15 while playing for Vålenga. I have now got shirt nr 15 for my floor-bandy team and wanted to know how many goals you think I should score? Will 1 be enough (whole season) like you in VIF or should I score 1 each game, like you after leaving VIF?

Regards
Henrik

My reply:
Hi Ape,
depends are you playing in your own position or somewhere near the sidelines. If you play central midfielder you should score 5 goals in 23 games, and one of them should save you in the league.

Hai 007,
I have to chose between Sean Connery and Brosnan and I think last one is more shaken not stired. Next 007 shuld be Ali G because it would create an extra level for the whole story if 007 was a brother. Dougie Freedman would be dangerous enough to save the world with his rotten scottish accent.

Alright mate, how you doing. Glad to see you in our team doing well, saw you last night against Grimsby, 5-0 not bad, hopefully we can keep it up! Just wondering why you haven`t put any pictures of you playing for Palace, I see you got some pics of you playing for finland (along with the embarrising photos of you as a kid, did your mum make you put them up?). And another thing, how do you thing Palace will do this season realisticly?
Cheers Mate,
Andy Wicks

My reply:
Alright mate,
I am fine. Specially now when I have received my first Palace photos. After my Mom has chosen the most embarrising ones I will put them here. If we did not have chance to play-offs I might just instead travel back to Finland and start a Turkish kebab restaurant.

Hi Aki,

what a great website! I'm not a Palace fan (sorry) but came across your site while trying to find one on Jari Litmanen, and now I'm a regular visitor. I love your recommendations - I have to agree about blue toothpaste.

Congratulations on some great international games, it's a shame Finland can't be there instead of Germany, I think most people would agree with me.

Anyway, thanks for an entertaining site (and for bothering with a site at all, how many players do?) and good luck this season.

Sophie

PS Do you think Litmanen is underrated at Liverpool?

My reply:
Hi Sophie,
Litmanen is like blue toothpaste, nobody understands the fortunes they are worth of.

Dear Aki

Is it wrong to support two football teams? I support a very well known club in the Manchester area, but also like Crystal Palace as it is very near to me.
Why is this not allowed?

Thanks - from a Semi Eagle

PS - If you like fish and chips do you drink a cup of tea with it in the English fashion?

My reply:
Dear Rebecca,
it is not allowed according the law 4 § 26 paragraph 3 from the UN:s human rights code. Seriously, it is not like you were married with two people. Only thing you have to remember is that even though fish is good and chips are good, dont mix them. In that situation it is a better to take a cup of tea.

Hei Runoileva tytsy,

Uljas eläin poro on
nutipää vaan ei sarveton
kuono tanassa tuulta halkoo
reessä levyjä mm. Kaija Koo
Pukki se vaan huutelee hoohoo
Lapset jouluvaariin uskoo

Omasta puolestani saatte voittaa vaikka kaikki muut paitsi Tottenhamin ;)

My reply:
Kiitos Julle,

You scored already two goals?? My God, you see what it means to have some practice with a real striker, isn't it? As you know I'm playing in Israel for the moment, but I hope to go back pretty fast to Europe and in particular Holland or England of course. I wish you all the best this season (with many goals!!) and also for the whole team of course. Many greetings to all the boys. Oh yes, my question? Did you discover already some new nice places to go when I'm back there. Greetings out of Beer-Sheva, Israel.Kenny Verhoene

What are the most important values in you life generally and in football specially?Tepi

Hi Terho,
good question, I have really been thinking this one. I would say that the most important thing in life is happiness. I think that is achievable with obeing values like justice, open-mindedness, honesty plus loving and caring for yourself and others. Family, work and freetime have to be balanced. In the end of the day the most important thing is to feel good about yourself and things you do and values you have.

Pasj Boy (pasjboy@artic.net), 16/8-2001 14:27
Hello Aki!It was wonderful to see Finland wednesday in Finnair Stadium. Great game for every player. My question: Does it feel different to play with national team than with C.P. And do you feel bad if C.P. doesn´t allow you to go with national team? I don´t know if this has happend before but if it will happen how do you think about it?But anyway good luck for you and it is very sad that you couldn´t take part to your brother wedding.. Shit happens.. (said one belqium-man last wednesday). And I´m sorry for my invalid english.Hyvä Suomi ja verta pakkiin...Pasj

Hi Pasj,
it was a wonderful day for not to be belgian in Finnair stadium that day, loved the game. It is different to play with the national team because I am from the same “football school” than other players and we are also alike as persons. International games are also very different from English football. CP has been very helpful with my internationals and it does not affect that much because we have games always the same day than England.

Ville Björklund (vbjorklu@jippii.fi), 15/8-2001 13:40Moi Aki!Mikä on parasta ammatissasi?Entä pahinta?

Hei Ville,
parasta on tietysti että on pystynyt yhdistämään asian jota rakastaa työksi jota rakastaa. Jalkapalloileminen elämäntapana ja työyhteisönä on todella loistava, monipuolinen ja haastava.Pahinta on rajoittavuus. Elämä on rajoitettu tiettyihin päivä- ja vuosirutiineihin, lähtien ruokailuista, levosta, terveellisistä elämäntavoista ja vapaa-ajan määrästä ja laadusta. Karsii paljon kivoja kokemuksia ja mahdollisuuksia.

Heippa! Toivottavasti teet paljon maaleja! :)Terveisin: Sofia

Hei Sofia,
olipa monta vaikeaa kysymystä, on mennyt tovi niitä miettiessä. Paras on aika ehdoton käsite, joten parempi pidättäytyä mielestäni sikahyvissä eli Henry-Forssell/Zidane-Tainio/Nesta-Hyypiä, mutta valmentajiin en viitsi koskea koska niiden toimintaa on vaikeampi arvioida.

Aki,
I hear that you are living in a hotel in London and that you are not sure where to live in this wonderful city of ours.May I recommend Clapham as a great area to live in. It has a huge Common (park), is only 20 minutes drive from Selhurst Park, and has an excellent night-life. Players such as Matt Svensson already live in the area.I hope to see you around there in the future!

Chris,
I am still searching and I have been in Clapham too. I liked Common but didn’t found anything suitable for my purposes. The hunt continues although I have already moved from the hotel. Clapham is a good possibility.

Takk RuneS,
takk for dine vakre ord.

Ok. Mikäs on kaikkien aikojen kikkailuennätyksesi? Oletko viitsinyt tuhansia pomputtaa? ja ennen kaikkea miksi?

My reply:
Hei sinä hassuniminen,
meille kaikille tulee erikoisia hetkiä Haajasen selostaessa.

Hi Aki,
I'm a Belgian palace fan who used to live in the Uk (just back in Antwerp unfortunately due to work) and have been a fan for the last 12 years. Don't like Belgian footie that much (apart from national side) and my full time and money is spent on the Eagles. Probably have already spent a fortune watching them and will be there again on Saturday against Millwall and at home against Barnsley. It's in my blood !! Anyway, just wanted to say thanks so far, I hope you are enjoying it in Sarf London and hope to see you score on Saturday !! this is very important to all the fans !! Take care and have been reading your website .. it's excellent so keep it up !! And next time pls be a bit softer on the Belgians .. I know it was only a friendly but we hate being beaten (well, by Holland that is .. but that hardly happens anyway, haha).
C-ya around and take care geezer !!! Is the idea to stay with the Eagles for a long time or do you have your sights on a bigger team ?

My reply:
Hi Stefan,
I apologise the Millwall game but I promise that we do better against Barnsley. I respect your devotion to the club, I want to go to the top with Palace also.

Also have you heard any good jokes since being in England?

Hi Aki, great to see you playing so well for Palace. Score against Millwall please.

I liked your ideas about sandwiches, but did you mean a Danish 'open sandwich' or two slices. I have great trouble with my Danish mates when they come to south london and demand their open sandwiches. One does not have as much control with an open sandwich as you do with two slices. It might be a nice idea but the open sandwich does not really work.

Thanks,
John

Hi Aki,

A pointer and a question for you. I recently asked you about languages and is speaking Danish recommended by you or not. You replied "the language sounds like speaking hot potato in your mouth" I asked my Swedish colleague this and you'll be pleased to know that he agreed totally. My conclusion is that you are not mad at all.
Anyway, my question is this, do you fancy a game of golf with me? I play off 9. If so, send me a mail and we'll sort it out.
Thanks mate,
g

My reply:
Hi Graeme,
thanks for your conclusion and invitation. I will think of both and answer in Danish.

Moi Aki!

Terveisin. Sofia

P.S. Minulla on kuva susta ja musta! :) D.S.

My reply:
Hei Sofia,

I see you say the Danes speak funny, well being a Dane the same can be said for you?
Do you know if Bruce (Steve that is) is looking to bring in further talented Skandinavia players such as Siggurdson from Iceland?
We need more players with the guts that you show!!!!
Have a good game against Millwall and look forward to a WIN?! See you there?

My reply:
Tsau Lau,
all the scandinavian languages sounds pretty funny and I would like to have another funny language to Palace, Siggurdson is a good player.

Here is something that rhymes:

Aki Riihilahti, drinks a lot of sahti...

But I wouldn't recommend singing that, it might sound terrible coming from an english speaking mob

My reply:
Hi youyourselfandyou,
sahti rhymes with riihilahti only if you dont take too much of it.

Dearest Akiiiiiiiii,
See you got a namecheck in When Saturday Comes recently; apparently, you are a "funny" player - not quite sure what this means, but as long as you keep performing for Palace, you can be as funny as you like.
One question - what do "Ägä" and "Riihikongen" translate to in English.
Love, Toozer

My reply:
Even dearer Toozer,
I am not funny, people just laugh at me. Ägä is not translatable because it does not really mean anything, it is just reflexion from the chilhoods playgrounds. In Finland many of my friends still uses it. Riihikongen would be translated Riihiking. When I was doing good in Norway everyone used it. There were also times I could have been Riihisliten (=Riihitired).

Dear Peter Guntrip,
what an excellent selection, I would be honoured to have one of them. But first I have to play much better to deserve a single cheer. And I am sorry if sometimes when I am concentrated in the field I forget to thank You.

Sun uutispalsta on aivan loistava! Nauratti todella paljon!

Kiitos mielipiteen muuttamisesta!

=Janne=

My reply:
Kiitos Janne,

I ended up with Morrison 10 which cost a fortune!! PLEASE sort this out! (Or try and get one number on the shirt next because the club shop is a con!) £8 for number 15!!

Congratulations on a succesful season and all the best! PLEASE BEAT MILLWALL, PLEASE!

My reply:
Terve Riverside,
vaikea sanoa.

Onnittelut Kreikka-pelin johdosta! Loistava
suoritus! Kreikkalaiset paimenpojat sortuivat
Palacen suuren keskikenttämiehen jalkoihin.
Viimeistään Zorbas-tuuletus katkaisi helleenien
selkärangan.
Kuka on suosikkisi pelaamaan kanssasi toista
puolustavaa keskikenttämiestä Suomen
maajoukkueessa? Entä kenen pitäisi pelata
Litin paikalla, jos Jari olisi tärkeästä pelistä pois?

My reply:
Kiitos Jonne,
zorbas on aika kovaa kamaa paimentolaisille. Pidän pelaamisesta lähes kaikkien vaihtoehtojen kanssa, sillä harvoinhan pääsee näin hyvin jätkien kanssa skulaamaan. Tainio on mielestäni paras Litin korvaaja, muitakin vaihtoehtoja tosin on.

En kysy vaan onnittelen! Onnittelut Kreikka-voitosta ja maaottelumaalista. Koko joukkueen suoritus oli mitä loistavin. En uskonut näkeväni suomalaisen jalkapallomaajoukkueen yltävän vastaavanlaiseen suoritukseen, 11 miestä hallitsi kenttätapahtumia suvereenisti muutamaa minuuttia lukuunottamatta. Teitte jotakin ennennäkemätöntä, suorituksenne sai minut liikkuttumaan. Moni asia ei vedä vertoja niille tunteille miltä tuntuu kuullaa Maamme Laulu tai loppuvihellys Kreikka-pelissä, kylmät väreet menivät koko kehon läpi. Onnea loppukauteen ja tuleviin karsintoihin.

Tsemiä Saksa-peliin ja kauden Palacen koitoksiin.

Kiitos myös loistavista esityksistä kaikissa MM-karsintaotteluissa!!!

My reply:
Hei Marko,

I am learning Finnish at the moment. The partitive plural... huh... oh god...

A question?

Do you think Jari will stay at Liverpool if Heskey and Fowler keep getting the nod ahead of him?

Good luck for your first season in England,

Oli paras mahdollinen lopetus MM-karsintojen koti-otteluille, annoitte hienon shown 27000-päiselle yleisölle!
Sustahan on tullu oikea maajoukkueen maalitykki..

My reply:
Hei Riku,

Kerrotko mulle vaikka sähköpostilla miten homma oikeasti on? En ole toimittaja, enkä "vuoda" juttua eteenpäin.
Onnea hyvin alkaneesta kaudesta, toivottavasti energiaa riittää koko kaudeksi.

Hieno peli Kreikkaa vastaan. Olet minun mielestäni kehittynyt paljon pelaajana viimeisen vuoden aikana.

My reply:

Suomi pelasi Kreikkaa vastaan upeasti.

Hieno matsi, kerrassaan.

My reply:
Terve Hanna,

Terveisin: Sofia

My reply:
Kiitos Sofia,

Hi Aki,
I would just like to ask who you think is the funniest player in the team? and how does Steve Bruce treat the team.like a coach or freind? does he hang out with you?etc

keep up the good work, your playing great!
(i read that you visit the Holmesdale.net, can you make a post in the message boards and say hi!)

thanks alot

Ross

My reply:
Hi Ross,
funniest player is beyond no doubt ##*****''' But most of the lads are pretty hilarious. Steve Bruce is a good coach and acts like it.

My reply:
Terve Ville,
joo, niistä oppii kaiken taktiikasta ja tekniikoista. Toisinaan niitä on kuitenkin ihan kiva pelata vain huvin vuoksi.

Great article that article of you Aki in the Helsingin Sanomat (by the way it can be read in English at //members.tripod.co.uk/christiansavill/index.html).
Are there any other sports that you are good at or perhaps like to watch?

My reply:
Thanks Keio,
maybe I should order that magazine then. I love almost all the sports and competing. Golf is relaxing, bowling is socialising, volley ball is fun and women long jump is nice to watch.

Happy Birthday Aki, hope you have a fantastic day!

After yesterday's terrible result and performance against Millwall, I am annoyed. What can you say or do to cheer me up?

Lets hope the cup match against Everton game isnt as bad.
Good Luck!!

Hi Aki, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! How did you celebrate? Shame about the Millwall game, what did you think of their fans?
I have just bought some special shampoo for blonds, you are more than welcome to come along and use it?!!
Anyway, take care and remember there ain't no party like a Riihilahti party!! xx

My reply:
Dear Danielle,
thank you but there was not so much to celebrate after yesterdays performance. So I trained hard and cleaned the kitchen, not a special party so to say. Tomorrow is a new and brighter day, maybe to try special shampoo for blonds. I did even know that those exists. Hurraa.

Kiitos herra erinomainen,
Saku Koivun tapaus on todella surullinen.

Palacella kova ohjelma, alkaen huomisella derbyllä Millwallia vastaan.

Michael Ross (screamingalice@yahoo.co.uk), 3/9-2001 23:04
Hi Mr AKI,

My dad thinks you are the best player that Palace have bought in many years. He met you at the Palace horse race day, please could you say Hi to him.

How long until we get into the Premiership?

When will you get Palace to buy more of Finland's Internationals, especially Forsell (is he still happy at Chelsea?)?

Please can you score a hat-trick against Milwall.

Do you like Palace's Red and Blue stripes and the Glad All Over song?

Long live
Yellow Jumpers,
Blue Toothpaste,
and AKI RIIIIIIIIIIIIIHILAHTIIIIIII.

Down with
BBC1,
90's Fashion,
and Milwall.

PS Do you like the Godfather movie?

All respects to you DON AKI.

Dear Michael Ross, Your father and the Godfather,
I am pleased to hear that there are other reasonable people here in England that likes yellow jumpers and good movies. I cant promise a hatrick, but I will do my best to convince Mikael to change back into nice shirt and songs. Premiership and blue toothpaste must be the goals. And all the big lessons in life can be taken from the Godfather movie.

Andy Newby (andrew.newby@helsinki.fi), 3/9-2001 18:15
Hi Aki

Just to let you know that our son was *nearly* named after you. We had promised that we would name him after whoever scored the winning goal at Anfield, as long as Finland won. For a few magic minutes Aki Antinpoika was a reality, but sadly it all went wrong (Ossian was the eventual name :)). Hope you didn't have to pay too much of your own cash getting back from Albania, and we'll be there at Olympiastadion this Wednesday cheering you and the boys on against the Greeks.

T: Antti ja Ellu ;)

Dear Antti, Ellu and almostakiantinpoika,
I like the idea because that is how I named my cats to Lineker and Butragueno. However I believe your son has better name now. I had only two pounds and library card in my wallet so I did not help anything in Albania.

Ciao Kentish,

Miten se maali tuli? Veikkaanpa että puskit kulmapotkun jälkitilanteesta pallon pömpeliin.

Moi Jani,
melko hyvin veikattu. Se oli vastahyökkäyksen jälkeen syöksypusku hyvästä keskityksestä.

Moi Aki!

Onnittelut maalista! (Tätä kirjoittaessani en vielä tiedä tuliko Palacelle voitto kotiin.)

Katselin netissä miten pelit edistyy ja huomasin maalisi. Sitten mieleeni Aamulehdessä ollut juttu
"Aki Travoltasta".
ainakin erilaiseksi. No, tämä on joka tapauksessa hieno tapa huomioida kannattajia, enkä siten yhtään ihmettele suosiotasi Palacen
fanien keskuudessa!

Parhainta menestystä alkaneelle kaudelle!

Toivottelee,
Antti Tampereelta

Hi Aki,
We saw you play last Saturday in the friendly against Oxford United. Unfortunately we were in the Oxford stand, so we couldn't cheer you too loudly, but we tried our best. I couldn't believe it when the announcer got your name wrong...it wasn't even close!! I guess you get used to people mispronouncing your surname- but I was amazed that they got the Aki bit wrong too!!! Not a great game - but amusing just for the fact that there was only 3 stands and the ball kept disappearing into the car-park!
Good luck with the dentist!!

Hi Bex,
I am used to it already. They even put my name wrong in my Eurocup shirt in Norway.

hei ja huomenta täältä suomesta. onnea voitosta. on todella hauska kuulla voitoista ulkomailla. vahinko ettei suomalainen media katsonut tarpeelliseksi näyttää ottelua, joka varmaan elämänkokemuksena, jo pelipaikankin suhteen, oli jännittävä. pärjäile ja kerro terveisiä ainakin hannulle. terveisin jorma [riku hirnin isä].

Terve Jorma,

Have you settled into a perminent flat/house yet?Tha last time I spoke to you (Junior football presentation) you were still living out of a hotel room. How's English life suiting you? I hope it isn't too much of a culture shock ;) Good luck this season - seen a lot of kids with 'AKI' or 'Riihilahti' on the back of their shirts, so you must be doing something right!

Thanks Steve,
and God also because I have found a flat and everything is so much easier now. I am concentrating now looking like a cool local. I hope that I can do something that the kids would like. Hello again Aki. Good luck in your international match in Albania tomorrow, I hope you come back unbeaten and uninjured!

We are all having a good laugh about the fact that Palace have run out of the letter I after selling so many Riihilahti shirts... you should expect a few songs about it during the next match against Millwall!

All the best,

Doug

Hey Doug,
I have had a serious talk with my parents because they have confused whole southern London with having such a hard name. They said it wont happen again. So far unbeaten and fresh. Looking forward winning Millwall with lot of singing.

As one of your biggest supporters at Palace, I welcome you to London. Your ability and zest for the game is a real asset to the team.

I wanted to know what your favourite British food is?

Also, do you prefer the women here or in Finland?

Thanks

Haudi Mick,
my favourite British food is fish and chips specially made without meat but with baked potatoes.
So far I prefer Finnish women because their language is easier to understand.

Dear geezer Graeme,
I speak also french, norwegian and swedish plus I can annoy people in portugese. Denmark is a really nice country but the language sounds like speaking hot potato in your mouth.

Osmo Joroinen (osmojoro@ibn.fi), 25/8-2001 23:21
Hei Aki. Sinä olet huippuhyvä pelaaja. Ja sinulla on hienot kotisivut. Itse pelaan jalista Oulun Luistinseurassa. Minulla olisi muutama kysymys. Mikä on motivaatiosi jalkapalloilijana? Kuinka kauan aiot pelata? Saatko paljon rahaa? Miksi teet aina jonkun hassun tuuletuksen, kun teet maalin? Toivottavasti et ensi kerralla kuitenkaan tanssi ripaskaa maalin tehdessäsi? Miten voisin kehittyä jalkapalloilijana? Paljonko sinulla menee aikaa näihin kotisivuihin? Onko Riku Riihilahti sinulle sukua? Hyvää ja onnistunutta kautta. t. Osmo

Hei Osmo Rautakuori,
mielestäni parhaat kotisivut ovat kuitenkin Hannu Tihisellä. Sieltä löytyy vastaus kaikkiin kysymyksiisi ja elämän suuriin tosiasioihin. Itse vastaisin että hyvä, jonkin aikaa, riippuu valuutasta, Tihin syy, ripaska on jo vanhentunut tuuletus, potki palloa, noin tunti, on. Hyvää ja onnistunutta kautta sinullekin Viking Stavangerin Luistinseuraan.

Hi Aki,

I just wanna know what you thought about the Forest defeat, particularly Palace's 'defence'. I dont like putting you on the spot, but SOMEONE has to. I also wanna know what cheese is like in your home country. Seriously. I like cheese.
Annnnnyway, I hope you come back in one working piece from international duty, as someone has to give those Millwall players the runaround on Sept 8. See you then! Cheers!

Hi Geoff,
we defended bad as a whole team so it was not just defence that failed, the whole team did. Now I am going to go and eat some Edam cheese and concentrate on Greece and Millwall games.

Aki,

Four goals in four games for Palace now... you're already a hero on the terraces.

We all want to invent a new song for you, but nobody seems to be able to find a tune to fit the words "Aki Riihilahti"... any ideas?

Will you be adding some Palace photos to your new website when it's up?

Good luck Aki, see you at Selhurst.

Doug

Hi Doug,
I have only made two goals so maybe I have to speed up my ratio. I am a lousy singer and Riihilahti only rhimes with party. Palace pictures there will be.

I've been a Palace fan for some time now and would just like to say you are without doubt one of the best midfielders that has played for the Mighty Eagles in the past couple of years. Anyway, I also think that Fan Zhiyi is a magnificent player and I just wanted to know what you think of him leaving for three months to play for China....

Cheers Aki,
Donogh.

P.S..... Palace for promotion.

Dear Donogh,
your words are too kind for the job I have made. I still need to do much more to be worth it. Fan is good player and we will miss him. However we cant do anything with internationals so better play the games with what we got.

Tell your brother congratulations from me. Great start to the season isn't it? I have you in my fantasy football team- just keep scoring goals ok?!!
One other thing- I go to Jimmy's barbers in Selsdon (South Croydon) and it only costs me £7!!!

See u later

PHiL

Hi Phil,
ýou have given me so good tips here so will continue scoring.

Mark Garner (markgarner_uk@yahoo.co.uk), 21/8-2001 15:37
Hi Aki

Great performance so far, Hope you can make it 3 from 3!

Just a quick question about foriegn players.

I thought that we were only allowed to play a maximum
of 3 non-EU nationals at one time (including subs).
If this is true then how is it possible that we played
Kolinko, Fan, Kirovski, Berhalter and
Rubins at the Rotherham game?
and with Tony Popovic starting soon,
Bruce must have some selection problems?

Your site is great Aki, did you do it yourself?

Aki, Aki, Aki

Oi, Oi, Oi

Mark

Hi Mark,
I do my site self and maybe that is the reason why I do not know answer for your non Eu players -question. Should have scored against Nottingham so now I have to do two against Millwall.

Tine Resset (TinRes@apustud-hibu.no), 21/8-2001 10:58
Hei og hopp

Lenge siden sist. STORT! Akuratt som du ønsket deg jo. GRATULERE! Litt sent, men bedre en aldrig. Hvordan har du det? Her er det bare bra, og jeg har begynt på Master studiet her på Hønefoss. Snakkes

Hej Tine,
alt er bra her. Savner Skandinavia ganske ofte men fotball går jo greit her. Lykke til med studiet.

richard down (rj.down@btinternet.com), 21/8-2001 00:31
Hi Aki

congrats on your start to the season. You and Clinton must be on a big high after last week.

You may be interested to hear that the first international I ever went to was v Finland in the world cup qualifiers in 1973. I skived a school detention to go to Wembley. England won 2-1 then as wll and were booed off the park. Nobody expected such a close match then. Things have changed!

It looks like Steve Bruce is well on the way to sorting last years problems out. Let us hope so.

Good luck

Hi Richard,
Finland is much better now but the result in England stayed the same, 2-1 for England.

David Ramsbotham (daverambo@btinternet.com), 20/8-2001 20:13
Hi Aki,

Great performance on saturday, I hear Mikkel Forsell was watching from the stands on saturday.
Any chance of him coming back to palace?

Dear David,
Mikael really likes Palace and he keeps asking every detail whats going on. I do not think he is coming back though, so let us hope he gets to play in Chelsea.

Gavin Perkins (gavin.perkins@joneslanglasalle), 20/8-2001 16:05
Hi Aki

I'm enjoying your 100% start to the season, and looking forward to seeing you score in every game this year! I hear young Mickael was at the game on Saturday - did you meet for a drink afterwards?

I'm sure this week you don't recommend having the flu - take a day off on Tuesday, then come back and score at Forest on Saturday, OK?

Still trying to think of an Aki song. Best one so far (to the tune of Helen Shapiro's 60s hit 'Walking Back to Happiness'):

'Walking back to Aki-ness,
Ri-ihilahti.'
(Repeat until Aki waves!)

Gavin (Suomi jalkapallo fan)

Dear Gavin,
I like your ideas. I do not recommend of thinking I should score every game. I try anyway. Havent been drinking with Mikael but eating more than often.

Steve Larkin (slarkin2@ntlworld.com), 19/8-2001 23:48
Why are there no pictures of you in a Palace kit?

Dear Steve,
I cant be taking any because I am in the field at the same time. Soon.

Neil MacQueen (chunkalaitor@aol.com), 19/8-2001 13:21
Nice goal yesterday Aki, the keeper stranded with that classy finish. We could see you were pleased with it!!!

So far so good then

Neil

Thanks Neil,
I was more pleased with the three points and the good home growd.

karianne skaug (karianne_06@yahoo.no), 19/8-2001 12:56

Kevin Thompson (kevint@genie.co.uk), 19/8-2001 12:13
Aki,

Great performance yesterday, and last week at Rotherham. It's great to have that winning feeling back at Selhurst Park again! We've been celebrating non stop since 5.00pm. The Cherry Trees pub near the ground was rocking last night. We were trying to make up songs for you but the booze was taking it's toll. The best we came up with was "If you're Aki and you know it score a goal"

Anyway, the pubs open again in 45 minutes, so I was wondering if you were in the South Croydon area if you fancied coming on an all day session with the boys?

Dear Kevin,
thanks for letting me know where the party is, I actually might turn up one day there because Riihilahti rhimes with party.

jorma pösö (jormap@hotmail.com), 18/8-2001 23:24

No hei Aki!
Katselin sähäköitä otteitasi keskiviikkona Finnair-stadionilla ja tulen koko ajan vakuuttuneemmaksi taidoista ja osaamisestasi jalkapalloilijana. Olet hyvä pelaaja. Voittajaluonne. Sisukas. Älykäs. Rajusti töitä tekevä. On ilo katsella esityksiäsi. Olet vauhdissa. Paina hiileen!

t. Jorma

Hyvä Jorma ja Erno,
diesel veturina on hyvä puksuttaa, tasaisenvauhdintaulukkoon nojaten.

Hi Aki!

First, I´d like to thank you for the great game
against Belgium. The whole Finnish side were
marvellous and you did a great job with Tainio
at midfield!

I am interested in you and your career for several
reasons. The most obvious one is English football,
of course. Another reason is academic studies;
I respect a good football player, but an academic
player is a rarity. Thirdly, your hobbies show
striking similarities with mine (guitar playing,
chess...)

After that lengthy prologue, to my question:
Do you think you could spare an hour next time
you come to Helsinki? I would like to organise
a (shortish) interview with you at the university´s
English Department, concentrating on your life
in England, your career and the way your studies
have affected your life.

Best of luck for your new season at Palace!

Dear Turo,
studying is important for me so I will send you an email if I have time during my next stay in Finland.

Timo Maakannas (timomaa@hotmail.com), 17/8-2001 15:13
Saako Lontoos basementtiä helpolla, jos on vaaleat hiukset?

Paljon sä nostat penkiltä?

Cheers,

TM

Heips Timo,

Aki,

I love reading your diary, it is so insightful, and often very, very funny. Keep it up.

In case you still don't know where Togo is, click here... http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/to.html

All the best with Palace & Finland in teh coming season,

Jason (Tottenham Hotspur supporter).

Hi Jason,
now I have to visit Togo then.

timo heikkinen (timo.m.heikkinen@edu.hel.fi), 16/8-2001 10:19
Loistavaa peliä Suomi-Belgia matsissa. Sitäpaitsi juttu Hesarissa oli hyvä.

Koetahan ehtiä Golfaamaankin ja tsemppiä, hyvät sivut.

Terveisin ex-ope

Kiitos ex-ope,
golf hallussa, jottei joudu pitämään aasinhattua päässä.

Janne from Ahvenanmaalta (spelling?) (nejforfan@yesbox.net), 16/8-2001 01:07
Hello Aki,

Congratulations on the good performance against Belgium, fantastic result! I noticed you were involved in quite a few incidents with the Belgian number 10. I also saw you said one or two things to him. What did you say? Can that language be posted on your strictly formal webpage? :)

Keep up the good work,
Janne

Ps.

Hey Janne,
no problems with number ten, I just asked whats up doc?

Toni from Helsinki (toni.oras@helsinki.fi), 15/8-2001 21:51
There was a big article about you in Helsingin Sanomat 15/8/01 (the biggest newspaper in Finland). They mentioned in the article that you would rather be remembered as a good guy than a good player. I think you have remarkable chances to be both! I really admired your moves and stamina during the friendly match against Belgium (Finland won 4-1). When did you eventually know that you have what it takes to be a professional football player?

All the best wishes,

An ex-manager and still a fun loving player

Toni

p.s. Kyllä sä joskus pelaat Suomen paidassa arvokisoissa (One day you will play in the blue-whites for Finland in an international championship tournament).

Hei Toni,
And same in english.

Neill Harding (neillsen@another.com), 14/8-2001 11:16
Hi Aki

I read on a previous question here that you are leaving this website! I hope you are going to open another one because I really enjoy reading your diaries on here!

Nice goal at Rotherham by the way, let's hope it's the first of many this season!

All the best

Neill Harding - Palace fanatic

Dear Neil,

Ryan AKA Daddy Long (ryanlou@another.co.uk), 13/8-2001 16:32
Hi Aki

Me and my daughter had our photos taken with you at the open day at Selhurst. I think she's got a soft spot for you now. I'll get the photo scanned onto my PC and send you a copy :)

Cheers

Ryan

Dear Ryan and daughter,
I am looking forward receiving the photo.

Joe Knight (joeknight70@hotmail.com), 13/8-2001 16:29
Aki,

Congratulations on your 30 yard top corner goal against Rotherham!!

I was wondering how many goals do you usually score a season from midfield? Have you set yourself a goals target for this season?

good luck for the rest of the season...with our defence we will need it.

Joe

Aki = Palace Legend

Dear Joe Legend,
I am not a goalscorer but I should make 10 this season.

Jason Cook (jason.cook@marshmc.com), 13/8-2001 14:11
Aki

Congrats for scoring at Millmoor on Saturday and helping us to earn 3 unlikely points (Unlikely after 35 minutes anyhow)!

And to here you missed your Brothers wedding - Well, is that committment to the Club or what !!!
Aki - You should be given the captains armband !

Keep up you sterling work !

Jason

Dear Jason,
the game lasts 90 minutes, thank God. Brother understood the situation and Dean Austin is a good captain.

Miikka Valo (Mivalo@Iobox.fi), 12/8-2001 19:11
Moi

Mitenkäs Palace pelaa kotiotteluita joulukuussa?
Olen tulossa Lontooseen ja tekisi mieli tulla katsomaan.

Kiitos

Paljonko liput maksaa?
Onnittelut avauskierroksen maalista Sinulle ja voitosta koko joukkueelle.Toivottavasti sama linja jatkuu, poislukien kahden maalin eteenannot, niistä ei kaikkia vastaan toivu.
Erinomaista syksyn jatkoa!

Well done on your goal this week-end against Rotherham. Please don't take this the wrong way as i think your our main player, but i've had a bet with my mate.He thinks your score more than 12 goals this season, what's the most you've ever scored in a season?
Good luck with lots of assists,
Let's do it,
Steve...

Hi Steve,
I have never scored 12 goals a season so maybe I will do it now.
