Hi Aki,

Firstly I would like to say a huge thank you for the seasons you spent at Crystal Palace and for showing a grit and determination that seems to be a dying trait of modern day footballers.
My question is based on the current goings on at Palace and what you make of them? Do you keep an eye on the current situation and how does it make you feel to see the club in such difficulties?

My reply:
Hi Jamie,
thank you for your kind words and it is mutual appreciation as you good people in SE25 have give me a lot. Ofcouse i follow Palace closely and even it seems not the best at the moment, i think there is enough will and faith to turn it around again. As long as people work and believe you never know what is around the corner.

Hi Aki

I hope you are keeping well. Sometime back (perhaps 2004/5) you wrote a very inspirational article about setting goals (in the Times newspaper) in life at a time when I was losing weight and just started getting into distance running. Thankfully I am still big into running but it would be nice to read the article again however I cannot find it on the web anymore. Any ideas where to get it? Thanks and best of luck in everything. Anand

My reply:
Hi Anand,
great to hear from you and that you shared your story. I like running too and wish you best of luck with it. I think you mean this story..

Ei kysymystä, vaan kiitos mukanaolostasi viime lauantaina Lintsillä Vihreän kortin VIP-tilaisuudessa. Ja tosi iso kiitos! Oma 9-vuotias poikani oli valtavan otettu huomiostasi. Teit selvästi vaikutuksen kaikkiin paikalla olleisiin.
PS Se on se mestaruus vielä otettavana :-)

My reply:
Kiitos myös minun puoleltani Sompe. On ollut mukava tavata hienoja ihmisiä jalkapallon parissa nyt kun olen palannut takaisin kotimaahan. Reilua peliä ja elämän ylivoimaa matkaanne!

Hi. Just found you in a website while looking for something totally different. It's so weird that we share the same name and we are 1000s miles apart (I'm in the U.S.) and do not share the same gender (I'm a girl) or nationality or anything... just the same name. I think it's actually cool. What does your name mean in your language? By the way, also found that it's your birthday. Happy birthday.

My reply:
Hi Aki and great to hear from someone with such a beautiful name. In Finnish our name means "the Almighty"... not really but it sounded good ;) Hope you are well and lets keep the word aking.

Hi Aki,

how have you been? Since you played for my team, Kaiserslautern, i was following your carreer and i have just seen that you are now playing for HJK again. Maybe you can remember me and my finish friend! We met one day at Kaiserslautern´s market place, where we talked a little bit. And you spoke some finnish sentences to her :) Well, 2 weeks ago i was visiting her in Helsinki and we had the idea, to visit you at HJK traing. But unfortunately we could not find any information about the training times on the Website :( Maybe next time :)

But now, all the best for the rest of your carreer and i hope that Finland will qualify for the World Championship next year, next to Germany of course ;)

But there is one last question: Is HJK going to be your last "stop" as a player? And what do you want to do after your life as a professional player?

Greetings,

Andi

My reply:
Hi Andi and good to hear from you.
Yes i am back home and things work a bit differently here than in Germany... sorry that you werent able to come to see training, next time then. Yes, I am home now.

Onnittelut nimityksestä! Tarkoittaako tämä sitä että Finskillä ei enää koskaan nähdä pesäpalloviivoja futismatsissa, toivottavasti näin!

My reply:
Kiitos.
